Dr. Lapiz-Bluhm is an assistant professor at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, School of Nursing. Her research has been on the neurobiological mechanisms underlying the effects of stress on mental health, with current research focusing on biobehavioral markers for posttraumatic stress disorder. She is also interested in interprofessional safety education and community health promotion.

Dr. Sadak is an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington School of Nursing, a dementia advocate and a gero-psychiatric nurse practitioner. Her pre-post-doctoral studies were supported by the National Hartford Centers of Gerontological Nursing Excellence. Tatiana’s research is focused on defining dementia multimorbidity, promoting dementia caregiver activation, formalizing and strengthening the partnership between clinicians and dementia patient/caregiver dyads.

Dr. Ruppar’s research focuses on ways to improve patient outcomes by developing effective interventions through which patients and providers can work together to address non-adherence to cardiovascular medications.
