"It's a Lil' Colored Girl to See You"

Angela Amar, PhD, RN, FAAN, an associate professor at the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University blogs about the benefits of diversity in the health care workforce. As a faculty member, Dr. Amar expresses the importance of diverse faculty to both minority and majority students. She mentions that most people only recognize the benefits of having a diverse faculty to minority students but all students benefit from the varied perspective, worldviews, and experiences of a diverse faculty and student background.
