RWJF Scholar Pioneers Innovative Program to Help Low-Income Elderly Age at Home

Dr. Szanton's research interest focuses on helping low-income elderly age at home and she came up with a program called Community Aging in Place, Advancing Better Living for Elders (CAPABLE). Szanton's program has proved successful and she has since received grants from the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Medicare & medicaid Services to further study the effects of the program.
