Versie Johnson-Mallard, Ph.D., R.N., F.A.A.N.

Dr. Johnson-Mallard is an Associate Professor in the College of Nursing. Her research and publications are in the area of women’s health, reproductive health promotion, sexually transmitted infection prevention, HPV screening/prevention and behavior change in response to culturally appropriate nursing interventions. In addition to her research activities Dr. Johnson-Mallard teaches in the primary care program and the USF CON exchange program with the University of Panama (Panama City, Panama). Dr. Johnson-Mallard received her B.S.N. from Florida A&M University, a M.S.N from the University of Florida and is a board certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Her doctorate is from the University of South Florida.
Versie Johnson-Mallard was a Pre-Doctoral Fellow with the National Institute of Nursing Research in the National Institutes of Health and a Post-Doc Fellow at the University of South Florida. Versie is an active board member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners Women’s Health (NPWH) and the Polk County Advance Practice Council. Dr. Johnson-Mallard maintains a membership with the international nursing honor society- Sigma Theta Tau (STTI), and Florida A & M University Honor Society. She is also a member of the Florida and American Nurses Association, Southern Nursing Research Society (SNRS), the Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science (CANS) and the Association for Reproduction Health Professionals (ARHP).
